• Who should apply for tuition assistance?

  Anyone who is concerned that they may not be able to afford a Caldwell education for their children should apply. Applying does not guarantee qualifying. For families who do qualify, the school will do everything within the parameters of the budget and the award process to meet the need.

• What are the fees and costs involved in the tuition assistance process?

  There is a $35 application fee. Families must reapply for financial assistance each year.

• How is tuition assistance granted by Caldwell?

  Blackbaud Student Financial Aid (the 3rd party) will make a recommendation for aid. The Tuition Assistance Committee reviews the recommendation and approves it.

• When will I be notified of the results of my tuition assistance application?

  Current families will be notified prior to the re-enrollment deadline of February 1, 2023. If a current family is applying for admission of a sibling, a pending grant amount will be included along with the grant information for the reenrolling student.
  Prospective families will be advised of their grant before making an enrollment decision and after:
  

  • The application has been completed and verified
  • The application is reviewed and acted upon by the Tuition Assistance Committee
  • The applicant has been accepted for admission

• How is tuition assistance paid?

  Each year, a specified portion of tuition revenue is anticipated to be “unreceived.”

• If I receive tuition assistance, will the faculty, staff, or other parents know?

  No. Tuition assistance awards are determined by a very small committee. No one outside of the business office knows which families receive assistance. Every effort is made to insure the confidentiality of the process.

• Will applying for tuition assistance affect my child’s chances for admission?

  No. Our tuition assistance and admission processes are separate. Caldwell is committed to confidentiality.
