Recognizing that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, Caldwell Academy desires to graduate young men and women who live in submission to God and Scripture—who respond to the gospel and nurture a vibrant relationship with Christ through prayer, worship, and Scripture. Caldwell graduates think biblically to discern truth from error, so that they do not conform to the pattern of this world but are transformed by the renewing of their minds. In community, they grow more like Jesus through sacrificial service, caring for others, sharing the gospel, asking great questions, and humbly speaking truth in love. They learn from a place of wonder and delight, are skillful in the tools of learning, and apply their learning to real life. They read carefully, listen with discernment, reason critically, and articulate persuasively. They recognize the Classical Transcendentals—Truth, Goodness, and Beauty. The ultimate desire is that they know Jesus and are empowered by the Holy Spirit to practice the virtues of Faith, Hope, and Love, so that they do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with their God as they bring the message of Christ’s salvation to a broken world.
