• Who should apply for tuition assistance?

  Anyone who is concerned that they may not be able to afford a Caldwell education for their children should apply. Applying does not guarantee qualifying. For families who do qualify, the school will do everything within the parameters of the budget and the award process to meet the need.

• What are the fees and costs involved in the tuition assistance process?

  There are no fees to apply for financial assistance. However, families must first apply for the NC Opportunity Scholarship before requesting additional assistance from Caldwell Academy. Families are also required to reapply for financial assistance each school year.

• How is tuition assistance granted by Caldwell?

  The Tuition Assistance Committee reviews the recommendation and approves it.

• When will I be notified of the results of my tuition assistance application?

  Current families are notified of their grant decisions in early April and are granted an extension to the re-enrollment deadline of February 1. If a current family is also applying for admission of a sibling, a pending grant amount will be shared along with the grant information for the re-enrolling student. Prospective families will be notified of their financial assistance award before finalizing an enrollment decision and after:

  
  

  • The application has been completed and verified
  • The application is reviewed and acted upon by the Tuition Assistance Committee
  • The applicant has been accepted for admission

• If I receive tuition assistance, will the faculty, staff, or other parents know?

  No. All tuition assistance awards are determined by a small, confidential committee. No one outside of the Business Office has access to information about which families receive assistance. Every effort is made to protect the privacy and confidentiality of the process.

• Will applying for tuition assistance affect my child’s chances for admission?

  No. Our tuition assistance and admission processes are separate. Caldwell us committed to confidentiality.
