Eagles 4th at PTAC Championship, FCD takes Home Championship

The PTAC Championship tournament was contested on the afternoon of May 6, and after playing through several rain showers, some late afternoon big thunderstorms rolled in and really dampened the party. After only a few holes on the back nine, the players were shuttled back to the clubhouse due to a deluge of rain along with some thunder and lightning. After being under delay for a bit, the committee determined that due to the wetness of the course and the time it would take for the course to become playable again, there would not be enough daylight left for the players to finish their last 6-7 holes. The event was called, and became a rain shortened 9 hole Championship Match. Forsyth Country Day took home the Championship hardware by shooting a team score of 146, with runner up being Wesleyan carding a team score of 151. Caldwell came in at 156, which was good for a middle of the pack 4th place finish. Caldwell's leading scorers were Zachary Kupiec (37), Freddy Ortmann (39) and Daniel Norris (39). Matthew Lapeirre chipped in to the team effort with a round of 41.
