Eagles Come Up 2 Shots Short against GDS Bengals

Varsity Golf recorded one of their best team scores in school history, but still came up a couple of shots short of a dual match victory against rival Greensboro Day.  The Eagles score of 142 was only 2 over par as a team, but with the help of a deep squad, the Bengals #5 and #6 men recorded rounds of 36 and 38, which was enough to help them eek out a 2 shot victory in the dual match played at Greensboro Country Club's Farm Course.  Caldwell's great play was powered by a pair of 3 under par 32's shot by seniors Freddy Ortmann and Zachary Kupiec! Ortmann's 32 was his second consecutive 9 hole round in which he recorded a score of 3 under par.  Kupiec bounced back from a tough day earlier in the week to get things back track and record his lowest match score of the season.  Also factoring into the Caldwell team score was a 37 from Daniel Norris and a 41 from Grayson Smith.
