Student Life

Leadership

John 12:26

If anyone serves me, he must follow me; and where I am, there will my servant be also. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.
Caldwell's leadership opportunities point students to Christ’s example of leading through lifestyle, compassion, and service. They also provide experiences that develop God-honoring leadership skills for life after Caldwell.

Our schoolwide shepherding program matches new students with classmates previously enrolled at Caldwell. The "shepherd" accompanies the new student through their day for the first few weeks of school, offering friendship, answering questions, and providing directions.

Grammar School

Students in grades TK-5 experience leadership opportunities through initiatives like the Kindness Program, Book Buddies, Library Helpers, and community service projects like a canned-food drive. Fifth-grade students are often encouraged to lead by example to our younger Grammar School students.

Dialectic School

Students in grades 6-8 are invited to participate as student ambassadors for schoolwide and community events. Eighth-grade students may apply for service on the Student Leadership Team, which serves fellow students and helps organize Dialectic School events. Our students have also participated in classwide, off-campus projects with local organizations such as the Salvation Army, Out of the Garden Project, and Wreaths Across America in recent years.

Rhetoric School

Caldwell offers students in grades 9-12 a variety of leadership opportunities and requires each student to complete 25 hours of community service per year.

We hope our student leaders unify and encourage their classmates, while also providing a student voice to administrators and teachers. Rhetoric School-specific offices include the Executive Leadership Council, a group of seniors that serves the entire school. The student government consists of elected officers from grades 9-11. The RUSH ministry team leads worship for Rhetoric Chapel and schoolwide assemblies.
