In our Grammar School, our students are encouraged to explore drama in our curriculum through our Living History Days.
Drama is offered as an introductory course in the Dialectic (middle) school, while classes in both on-stage and behind-the-scenes drama are offered in the Rhetoric (upper) school. Students are instructed in many aspects of drama, including acting, improvisation, theater history, technical theater, and backstage skills. Opportunities are afforded each student to discover and develop performance and production skills in a classroom setting.
We encourage all Dialectic and Rhetoric students to consider how they might join our drama productions. In addition to acting, there are opportunities for students to get involved in set design, costuming, advertising and ticket sales, backstage work and sound and lighting. Auditions are held for each production.
