Caldwell Academy health hub

The unique challenges presented by COVID-19 require a commitment to adaptation and flexibility only made possible through our attention to detail and diligent communication. We covet your prayers as we navigate the 2021-22 school year together. While things may look different, the Caldwell spirit runs far deeper than our present adversity. May we recall the words of the psalmist, who wrote "I have set the Lord always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad, and my whole being rejoices; my flesh also dwells secure." (Psalms 16:8-9)

Please review the information listed on this page and return regularly for updates. Caldwell will also communicate directly with families via e-mail as warranted.

Health and Safety Protocols (updated 9/1/2021)

Masks are required at all times indoors with these exceptions: during brief periods of distanced eating and drinking; for vaccinated adults alone in offices or classrooms.

Faculty, staff, and students maintain recommended CDC distance whenever possible in all indoor and outdoor settings.

Health Guidelines-1

Our community consults federal (CDC), state (NCDHHS), and local (Guilford County Department of Public Health) guidance.

Children must be kept home if they are or a sibling is experiencing COVID-like symptoms and awaiting testing results, or if a parent receives a positive COVID diagnosis. Families must notify the school if a parent develops a COVID-like symptom.

Hand-washing breaks are scheduled throughout the day, and teachers offer instruction about hand hygiene. Hand sanitizer is readily available.

Families commit to following the health and safety protocols outlined in the Caldwell Academy Community Health Compact to limit the spread of COVID-19 and protect the health and wellness of the entire Caldwell community.
