Visual Arts
By considering various works with reference to specific time periods, students learn how art expresses a culture’s worldview. Most importantly, they realize they are God’s masterpiece, created to do good works for His glory.
Grammar Art
Grammar students explore God’s order and beauty found in the basic elements and principles of design in weekly art classes. They learn principles of art found in the alphabet and how to apply them to their drawings, paintings, mosaics, and sculptures. They experience different techniques, which they apply to projects created with a variety of media. Each grade level also learns an introductory level of art history to match their classroom studies.

Dialectic and Rhetoric Art
Our varied elective art classes instruct artists of all skill levels in our Dialectic and Rhetoric Schools, including honors art classes. Students experiment with different media including photography, charcoal, pen/pencil, pastels, watercolor, block-printing, acrylic, and mixed media. Classes explore a wide range of subject matter and themes throughout the year, such as still life, reproduction of masters’ work, portraits, and linear perspective.
The annual Art Showcase and Founder's Hall displays give our community the chance to see God’s gifts on display through our students’ beautiful creations.
